Bangalore Military School was founded by King George VI in 1945 under the name of King George Royal Indian Military College. In 1952, the school was reorganised as a Residential Public School. In 1966 the school's name was changed to "Bangalore Military School". Most of the old boys of this school are members of the Old Boys Association. The Association celebrated Silver Jubilee on 08/12/96 coinciding with the Golden Jubilee of the school.
